Every year, summer takes a toll on your hair and skin. The heat, pollution, and humidity, wipe off their natural glow. To keep your skin and hair healthy, we want to share some tips you can follow this season.
Make water your best friend
At least 8 glasses of water are needed. If possible, carry a water bottle with you and remember to drink at least once every 30 min. Water not only helps you feel fresh, but it also prevents dehydration and will help wash out a lot of toxins.

Cover your hair in the sun
The best way to do this is to get yourself a stylish hat that protects your face as well as your hair. Hats are all the rage this summer, so you won't have trouble finding one that suits you. The suns rays can dry out the hair if we leave our pretty little heads exposed for too long, so make sure you protect those tresses with one of summers best accessories.

Get a trim!
Yes, you've got to get those dead ends trimmed to keep your hair looking healthy. A little trim simply helps to get rid of the dry, split hairs which ultimately makes your hairs look shiny and healthy.

Pay attention to the health of your hair
After you get an incredible color and cut with us, make sure you ask your stylist to recommend the best shampoo and conditioner for your particular type of hair. You may also want a hair mask to use at least once a week for extra deep conditioning. Before going to the pool or the beach, wet your hair and comb through Oribe Glaze or your favorite Oribe mask. This will seal the cuticle to keep salt and chlorine out; and the heat of the sun will make your treatment penetrate even deeper.

Exfoliate your body
The ground rule of basic skincare is to exfoliate your skin. Your body sheds skin cells every minute of the day. If you don't get rid of them, they'll just sit on on your skin making you look dull and dry. No matter how much lotion you use, you're never going to have glowing skin if you don't exfoliate. Grab one of our Pure Fiji sugar rubs and hit the shower. You can also mix it with our Pure Fiji Nourishing Exotic Oil 2-3 times a week for year-round beautiful skin.

Exfoliate your face as well
It's not always easy to tell what is best for you skin, especially when the seasons change. During the summer months, your skin goes through a lot — from too much sun exposure to elevated temperatures. If you wear layers of makeup and sweat from the heat, you may be familiar with clogged pores or random acne. Give us a call and make an appointment for a Complementary Skin Care Consultation with our Amazing Esthetician Marina. She will let you know what your skin needs.

Sunscreen is a must
Get a sunscreen that has UVA and UVB protection. You should be using a shot glass full for your body and a full teaspoon just on your face. Reapply it every 1-2 hours that you are in the sun to ensure a summer full of safe sun fun.

Go for minimal make-up
During the summer, less make-up is best. If you intend to use foundation, then also apply face powder with SPF to avoid patchy skin. To protect your lips, nothing is better than LipSmart at keeping your lips hydrated all day and all night long.

And Please, Enjoy the Sun!
